Below please find our Covid-19 Prevention & Mitigation Plan (last updated 25 July 2021) 25 July 2021   COVID-19 Prevention & Mitigation Plan as per Gazette 44895   The management and staff of McKaynine Training Centre and our various branches support the South African government in the exceptional measures taken to address and mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in our communities.   Below we outline our mitigation and prevention plan per activity, which will be implemented at all branches and classes run under the McKaynine banner during Lockdown. Further we include the relevant space regulations as per the referenced Gazette 44895. Please note that our plans now and in the future defer to any national, provincial or metropolitan regulations in all regards.   Mitigation & Management Plan   We require you to please follow all requirements noted in the relevant section/s “Owners/Handlers/Clients” when you visit any of our facilities and we include our facility plan for your information.  These requirements are in addition to our existing registration and operational requirements. Non-compliance with these requirements will result in refused admission with no refund of fees paid. The terms “owners”, “handlers” and “clients” are used interchangeably and refer to any individual entering premises either owned or leased by McKaynine. The term “management” refers to McKaynine Training Centre. Training Classes & Private Lessons – All branches   Owners/Handlers/Clients Owners testing positive for Covid-19 or suspected to have been in contact with a positive case are obliged to inform management and adhere to the Government mandated isolation periods. Owners are requested to observe social distancing of themselves of at least 2m from staff and other handlers/clients. Owners are requested to please follow staff direction iro space usage. Owners are requested to wear a face mask or face shield throughout the session. Owners are requested to bring their own water bowl and water for their dog, as well as any other items they may require. Handwashing and/or hand sanitising will be available – owners are required to use accordingly. Owners are requested not to touch any equipment – if this is unavoidable hands are to be sanitised immediately afterwards.   Facility/Staff Staff testing positive for Covid-19 or suspected to have been in contact with a positive case are obliged to inform management and adhere to the Government mandated isolation periods. Attendee numbers are limited to the numbers as outlined in the tables in the following section. Only booked and enrolled owners and dogs will be permitted access to facilities. Handwashing stations and/or hand sanitiser will be provided for owners and staff. Staff are permitted to touch and move equipment as needed and hands to be sanitised afterwards. Owners to receive an outline of the facility’s Covid-19 Prevention & Mitigation Plan. Any activity requiring social contact of less than 2m between handlers is to be omitted from activities and/or replaced with a suitable exercise or activity. No sitting will be permitted during sessions unless an owner or staff member is incapable of standing for a prolonged period. In this instance a dedicated seat is to be used and disinfected after use. Staff to wear a suitable face mask or face shield at all times. Staff to maintain social distance amongst staff and/or owners of at least 2m. Vulnerable staff members are to be identified and protected. Ensure that staff using public transport are either catered for with private transport or are aware of prevailing public transport regulations and are suitably equipped with PPE. Classes to be scheduled to occur within curfew hours and allow for permitted travel thereafter. Shop – Honeydew branch only Owners/Handlers/Clients Owners testing positive for Covid-19 or suspected to have been in contact with a positive case are obliged to inform management and adhere to the Government mandated isolation periods. Shop capacity not to exceed 4 people at any one time (area of > 9m2 per person). Clients are requested to observe social distancing of themselves of at least 2m from staff. Clients are requested to wear a face mask or face shield throughout their visit. Handwashing and/or hand sanitising will be available – clients are required to use accordingly upon entrance and exit of the shop. Clients are requested to refrain from touching products and/or equipment as much as possible. Clients are requested to sanitise hands after use of the card machine.   Facility/Staff Staff testing positive for Covid-19 or suspected to have been in contact with a positive case are obliged to inform management and adhere to the Government mandated isolation periods. An outline of the facility’s Covid-19 Prevention & Mitigation Plan to be made available at the entrance of the shop. Staff to wear a suitable face mask or face shield at all times. Staff to maintain social distance amongst staff and/or clients of at least 2m. Staff at till point required to sanitise hands after each client served. Vulnerable staff members are to be identified and protected. Ensure that staff using public transport are either catered for with private transport or are aware of prevailing public transport regulations and are suitably equipped with PPE. Shop hours are 10h00 – 16h00 daily and during classes. Day Care – Honeydew branch only   Owners/Handlers/Clients Owners testing positive for Covid-19 or suspected to have been in contact with a positive case are obliged to inform mangement and adhere to the Government mandated isolation periods. Clients are requested to observe social distancing of themselves of at least 2m from staff. In some instances this may require the client to place their dog/s into a designated contained area for staff collection. Clients are requested to wear a face mask or face shield. Handwashing and/or hand sanitising will be available at points where contact is unavoidable i.e. gate of contained area and clients are requested to spray areas they have touched after use. Clients are requested to refrain from touching any other equipment.   Facility/Staff Staff testing positive for Covid-19 or suspected to have been in contact with a positive case are obliged to inform management and adhere to the Government mandated isolation periods. Only booked and enrolled handlers and dogs will be permitted access to facilities. Handwashing stations and/or hand sanitiser will be provided for staff. Collars, leads and any other equipment supplied by the owner are to be disinfected upon arrival and shortly before departure. Any equipment shared by the dogs is to be suitably disinfected at the start of each day’s operations. Owners to receive an outline of the facility’s Covid-19 Prevention & Mitigation Plan. Canine Cab driver to sanitise hands before and after every collection and drop-off. Staff to wear a suitable face mask or face shield at all times. Staff to maintain social distance amongst staff and/or clients of at least 2m. Vulnerable staff members are to be identified and protected. Ensure that staff using public transport are either catered for with private transport or are aware of prevailing public transport regulations and are suitably equipped with PPE. Staff to wash/sanitise hands at least 4 times per hour.
